As we all know due to the recent outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) brings an unprecedented challenge to our country and our customers. Our first focus is, of course, ensuring the safety of our customers, both the staff and homeowners. Matt Hancock, the health secretary, has addressed the UK to clear up some of the uncertainty around who could go to work. The government position is that you should work from home if you can, but if you need to travel to work then you can continue to do that. For tradespeople, this means you can carry out work in people's homes as long as you're well and have no symptoms and can stand 2 meters apart from anyone else in the house. You shouldn't carry out work in any households that are self-isolating or if an individual is classed as vulnerable and is protected unless the work is to sort a problem which is a direct risk to the safety of the household.
